Best card

SO this is a card that I am going to send to my mom for her birthday. So I hope she doesn't look at my blog before then.
I personally love this card. The best I have ever made!
Anyways I used Creative imaginations South Seas paper as the background (double-sided). Then I stamped the background with all the stamps from Tim Holtz's set HABERDASHERY CMS105. Then I used a teal piece of scrap paper (sorry don't know the brand) and used the Tim Holtz's Sewing Room die with my vagabond die cutting machine. That thing was the best X-mas present I have ever gotten!! Anyways, I then took ribbon and wrapped it on like a skirt. Used another scrap piece of paper to make the shirt. Next, I took floss and wrapped it around the bobbin.
I finally used my new SewEasy design stitch runner. Then I took silver thread and stitched all around the two sides. That took alot of time but it was soooo worth it. I sewed on the fake paper button.
For the inside I needed to cover up my stitching so I decided to mat the inside. I used bazzill cardstock on both sides. Placed the words from Making Memories Sew.. on the front and Happy Birthday on the inside. And last but not least, I took Glossy accents to attach the hanger looking paper clips!
So this is my wonderful card. I hope you like and thanks for looking!

Lilith Fair 2010

So here is another LO. This one is from Lilith Fair last year in San Fran. It was so much fun.. Had a great time. The music was the best. The artists that I really wanted to see there were: Sarah McLaughlin, The Bangles, Colbie Callie, and Heart. I personally think Heart rocked out beyond what I could of ever imagined!!! LOVED IT!!! Dancing and singing and rocking out- What more can a girl ask for?

Anyways on this LO I used Bazzill cardstock- sparkly white with silver specks as the background. Then I used a whole bunch of my patterned paper scraps, making them equal on the one side so they were mirrored. Used chocolate and pink bazzill shimmery cardstock. Placed alot of the actually things from the festivities on the page ie: the buttons (took wire pliers and removed the backs of both), my vip wrist band, and the tickets.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Where, oh where...

Wow where does the time go. It's been two months since I put new stuff up. I should of made that one of my New Year's resolutions to post once a week. Well I guess I should start now....
So here is my first layout. It is a 12x12 single page layout. I did it with a collage feel. It is really busy.. So here it is...

I used a plain white shimmery bazzill cardstock paper and then spray inked it everywhere. Then I took a blue shiney paper and used that as my matting for all my pics. Then I went crazy with a million stickers, rub-on-s, and other misc things. Put my pics into place and that's all she wrote. Thanks for looking!

2) Nerdy Girl- Collage inspiration (May 7th)

Baby love

So here is a layout that I did for a co-workers twins from her baby book I am making.
I used Teresa Collins baby girl patterned paper. For the background I used bazzill shimmery white cardstock.

The embellishments are all natural. Examples: those really are the ekg leads from the babies; thier little micro feeding tubes; the name bands for babies, mom and dad; and thier little at the bottom of the bassinet label thingys.

I used thickers for thier names.

On the 12th Day....

So this is a scene I have made for the Simply Betty Halloween Challenge. This is a young witch that is truly mad at her perfect (or so everyone always tells her) sister! She feels that she can not compare to her sister in anyones eyes and she is tired of it!!

She took her sister's picture and has smashed it numerous times. The glass shatters but it starts healing on its own as you can see in the picture frame (Tim Holtz die on acrylic). She has even ripped the picture to shreds and it healed itself also.

In this picture this is actually a piece of paper from her journal that blew up extremely big for no apparent reason.... Again maybe her perfect sister wanted her to not write about her. So this is how she reminds her sister not to do so!!!

As you can see, the expression her face is a simple smile. This is the very reason why she thinks her perfect sister has hexed her. She can only show a smile on her face at all times. When she is sad, really mad, and wanting to cry all she can do is give this smile. How does this work when she goes to a funeral.... She actually caused a scene once and ended up with a black eye. As her sister just smirked from around the corner!!

Not Simply Betty, EVIL BETTY!!!!!

On the 11th day

So here is my creation for the ever loved by me Simply Betty Challenge....
It's not my best work but I like the effects of it. I hate working as a night-shift nurse sometimes. It so gets in the way of my crafting time... How Rude!! Hehehe!
To tell ya what I have done now... I used Martha Stewart's halloween paper, cut in half, folded at 3inches and then 9inches so the card would open outwards. Then I took the other half of the 12in paper and cut it at 3in and 9in. I did this so I could adhere it to the inside of the card. Making it look all uniform.
Next I cut out little bats with my cricut cartridge Happy Hauntings. Adhered some with pop-up dots and some I made little springs from black wire and adhered. I hope that you can see the dimension (I'm really not the best photographer when it comes to doing photos of my work). Added the cool letters from Martha Stewart also. Then stamped the halloween and using embossing powder heat embossed it. Added the little vampire dude and that's all she wrote...
Thanks for looking!!!
